The SPS - Safety Protection System is now standard on many SEM shredders.  It has been created to provide an increased level of safety for operators and the units themselves. The SPS consists of the following:

• Electronically controlled safety flap in the feed opening to protect hands and fingers
• Electronic door protection with magnetic switch
• Automatic reverse/atomatic stop in the event of a paper jam
• Automatic stop when shred bag is full
• Double motor protection against overheating
• Multi-function control element "easy switch" with integrated optical indicators for operational status
