Authorized NSA Re-Certification of Mag EraSURE Degaussers

NSA Guidelines suggest that degaussers "should be re-tested periodically according to manufacturer's recommendations". Because of the fixed magnet technology used in the MagEraSURE Degausser and the lack of magnet degradation, the manufacturer suggests that re-testing is not required.

However, if degausser re-testing is desired, the SEM Recertification (Part# 600MER-HDKIT ) is completed using a High Density Hard Drive providing recertification to factory specification. There is a BIG difference in what we provide vis-a-vis competitive services. The competition uses a low density VHS or Data Tape. In effect, SEM performs the service in a worst case scenario thus re-certifying the degausser to full factory specifications.

The process is simple....

SEM will ship the High Density Hard Drive to you ( freight is at no cost to you).

You will be asked to run it through the degausser and return it to us ( we provide return labels and pay for freight ).

We'll ship the drive to Fujitsu labs where they test the drive using highly sophisticated measuring devices.

Upon completion of the test, Fujitsu will send us a report of their findings and re-certify the degausser at factory specifications.

A degausser re-certification report is then emailed to you.

This entire process (Providing the drive is run through the degausser and returned to SEM as soon as it is received.)....takes approximately 12 days.
