Security Engineered Machinery Co., Inc. (SEM) was established in 1967, and is the largest direct supplier of document destruction equipment in the United States for commercial and government end users.  Primary products include Paper Shredders, Disintegrators, Degaussers, CD-Rom Declassifiers, Product Size Reduction Destroyers and Security Waste Containers.  In addition, SEM offers a national shredding service with a particular focus on the destruction of hard drives, personal computers, data-tapes and other related electronic media.

SEM is positioned to serve customers throughout the world.  In the United States, direct sales offices are located in Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Georgia and California.  Internationally, we have selected representatives in most countries.  Over 100 Authorized Service Centers are available worldwide.

Other areas of our expertise include high security devices, which meet the updated NSA standards for secrecy.  We also produce customized equipment for size reduction systems and for destroying off-spec or returned product for the pharmaceutical, medical device gaming and food industries.  Heavy-duty, high capacity shredders are also offered for on-site recycling.
